Walls in washrooms, clinics and busy public areas get wet, splashed and cleaned every day. Tiles have grout lines, and grout holds dirt, moisture and stains over time.
STONIM® Premium Acrylic Solid Surface gives you a smooth wall with joints that are very hard to see. There are no grout lines to scrub, and the wall stays easy to clean for years. This guide explains where solid surface wall cladding works best, which thickness to choose and how to get it supplied or installed in the UAE.
Why solid surface works on walls
- Non-porous. Water, soap and cleaning chemicals stay on the surface and do not soak in.
- Seamless joints. Panels are bonded with colour-matched joint adhesive, so the wall looks like one smooth piece.
- Easy to clean. A cloth with mild soap and water is enough for daily cleaning.
- Repairable. Light scratches and marks can be sanded and polished out on site.
- Bends around corners. With thermoforming, sheets can wrap round columns and curved walls without extra joints.
- Same colour all the way through. A small chip or sanded area does not show a different colour underneath.

Which thickness to choose
For most wall cladding, 6mm is the right choice. Use 12mm where the wall takes knocks, where you want a marble or terrazzo look, or for floors.

6mm sheets are light and quick to fit, but they need a flat, solid backing behind the full panel. Do not use 6mm for countertops. Our solid surface thickness guide explains each option in more detail.

- Warranty: 10 years on sheets and 1 year on workmanship.

Frequently asked questions
Can solid surface be used inside a shower?
Yes. It is non-porous and the joints are sealed, so water does not get behind the surface.
Is 6mm strong enough for walls?
Yes, when the full panel is fixed to a flat, solid backing. For walls that get hit by trolleys or bags, choose 12mm.
How do I clean solid surface walls?
Use mild soap and water, or a normal non-abrasive cleaner. No sealing is ever needed.
Can a damaged panel be repaired?
Most scratches and marks can be sanded and polished out on site. Deeper damage can be cut out and patched with a matching piece.
Do you supply outside the UAE?
Yes. We supply across the UAE and GCC, and export on request.
